Over the past six years, I’ve been working on the Mickey Mouse social campaign with the goal of positioning him less as a company mascot and more as a relatable character, with both positive attributes and imperfections — just as Walt Disney had intended.  I helped create varied, entertaining content that not only places Mickey and his pals in relatable situations, but that highlights their unique qualities, taps into nostalgia, and showcases the fun of what Mickey Mouse means to fans of all ages.

Mickey’s Birthday Celebrations

Over the six years working on the Mickey Mouse Social campaign, I can honestly say nothing has been as fun or intense as mickey’s grand birthday celebrations. starting in 2016, we used november 18th to first launch his social media presence, and ending recently in a look back his over 90 years in the pop culture spotlight.

In 2020, Disney launched the Positively Minnie campaign which positioned Minnie as a character with her own positive voice. The campaign’s goal is to inspire fans by showing Minnie living her Best Life — pursuing her passions, treasuring her friendships, and spreading kindness. Our goal was to build an authentic relationship with followers by developing a tone of voice that enables Minnie to speak directly to fans in first-person, and create content that showcases her positivity, diverse interests, and adventures with loved ones.
